New Orleans

One of the things that has surprised me with this whole hurricane hitting New Orleans isn't the outpouring of support that I've seen for the people and city but for the lack of coverage for the remaining places that got hit. I know that New Orleans was by far the most populous and the most notable place that got hit by this hurricane by what about all the other cities? Mobile? Baton Rouge?

Either way I hope that all the people that were affected by what it turns out is one of the most powerful hurricanes recorded are safe. Granted I'm sure that some people will die and a lot of people will suffer hardship but the important thing is this storm was by no means as powerful as it could have been when it made landfall.
