So how were we going to deal with the ETs?

I was going through my news feeds today and I stumbled on this article on Yahoo! about a former Canadian Minister of defense that is rather adamant that the Canadian government take a stance on how to deal with relations with extraterestrial races. Ok this is amusing, seriously go read the artcile, if you think about it logically when you start playing with numbers the fact that there's alien life out in the universe is pretty much a foregone conclusion. With the amount of worlds out there there simply has to be life out there....

But the moment you start thinking that they're visiting us on a regular basis you can use that same math to reduce their ability to find out that we even exist back to nearly zero. SO what that translates to is someone has fed this poor old guy a pretty good line and he's running with it.

On September 25, 2005, in a startling speech at the University of Toronto that caught the attention of mainstream newspapers and magazines, Paul Hellyer, Canada’s Defence Minister from 1963-67 under Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Prime Minister Lester Pearson, publicly stated: "UFOs, are as real as the airplanes that fly over your head."

Mr. Hellyer went on to say, "I'm so concerned about what the consequences might be of starting an intergalactic war, that I just think I had to say something."

*sigh* I'll bet you someone is having a good laugh about this one stop abusing the elterly!
